What Lies Within Us
|Description||What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us. Assigned to the new SCE hub within the new frontier, the USS Armstrong leaves Starbase Tiberius within the Beta Quadrant, and heads towards the Delta Quadrant with a few civilian passengers, including potential cadets, along for the ride. With not much to do, and time on their hands, to help pass time on their long journey, an age old prank war renews between security and engineering. There are paybacks to be made and new faces to be initiated. The boxing match between the Captain and his new first officer continues. Will they come to some sort of understanding? Will they become a united front? Will they survive? How many will be caught in the crossfire among the Armstrong crazies? A new face along for the ride just may steer this crew in a better direction.|
|Mission Group||Time off/Shore leave/Transitional|
|Start Date||Thu Apr 25th, 2013 @ 5:25pm|
|End Date||Sun Sep 4th, 2016 @ 10:25pm|
On the way to the Delta Quadrant the Armstrong will be making a quick stop at Risa. Not for a shoreleave, but to pick up Doctor Austin Houston's Ferengi/human hybrid son, Waco.
After this, the Armstrong sets it's course for the Wormhole X747, a relatively stable wormhole that will take them from the Beta Quadrant to the Delta Quadrant that has been observed for years, and predictably closes for near a 'Federation half year' at a time.
Within the DQ the Armstrong will have another brief stop at Starbase 659 where they will be unloading their passengers, and receiving orders for their next mission.
Now many years ago a practical joke war began on a SCE ship between the engineers and security, word of this spread around, as the years went by, during long down times of boredom, this became common amongst the Ship-based corps. During this trip one begins on the Armstrong.
While this is a war mainly between security and engineering, others may get pulled in, willingly or as victims in the crossfire.
Meanwhile, our CO and his new executive officer continue to try and adjust, maybe not hard enough, to each other. An unexpected dilemma happens to make it just that more difficult.
There is a new counselor onboard, and one can't help but wonder... Will the counselor end up needing counseling after dealing with this crew?
Christina, as our Csec, will be running Securities side of the 'war'. Her character will have to deal with keeping her people in line, making sure they do not over do it. Good luck Sarah.
Jen as our exotic and feline Chief of Engineering has the task of running the engineers' side of this 'war'.. Good luck River.
Now please take note, although there are those that have been assigned to run certain parts of the mission, anyone and everyone can be involved, no doubt to this. Have fun!
There will be a few time jumps here and there, and notice will be given before each one to accommodate post being worked on and/or waiting .
